Dreams: Climbing A Wall & Strawberries.

The story of my life lately: Work. Yoga. Teach. Work. Sleep.

Not much time for anything else. I am intending to change that soon. Hopefully.

I hadn't been dreaming much lately, until late last week.

I had a dream one night that I was climbing up a wall. I had things in my hand that I had to bring up there with me. So it was a little awkward, but I was making perfect time. I got to the top of the wall, and as I was about to pull myself up onto the ledge, someone was preventing me from getting up there.

They kept insisting that I had gone far enough and that I had done really well.

I kindly asked that they move. And it took some convincing them to get them to realize I wasn't going to stop at their insistance. And I got up on the ledge.

I then climbed down the wall by a rope hanging nearby. I got down slowly with all of my belongings.

In the second dream I had, the next night, what I remember most is eating a very large strawberry. Inside it, though, were blackened little strawberries.

That's all I can recall. But both dreams have stayed with me for days now. And it is rare for thoughts of any kind to stay with me lately, because my mind is so busy with multiple things.

The End Of An Era.

Tis a sad day.

My McQueen Hero Upright carry-on (you, know... The Ribcage) broke on route to the airport.

I had to toss it.

To be fair, it has been broken for a while. The stick handle that pops out wasn't working properly about 5 trips in to getting it. And today, while rolling it into Pearson airport, the handle snapped off.

(Sound of hearts breaking.)

I kept it with me going through security. I had a brief hope that it would be fixable upon further examination.

It was not.

Handle snapped off. Even super-strength carpenter's glue would fix it and make it pretty.

I tossed it at one of the restaurants here in the airport, after going to the Roots store and buying a $40 bag to get by with for now.

So another thing to add to my lengthy to-do list: But a new stylish carry-on.

Such is the life of the executive... Always rushing somewhere, trying to do it stylishly. You're bound to have a fail at some point.

Charlie Sheen, I Love You.

While I think the guy has truly gone off the deep end, I can't help but love quoting him. Here are some of my favorite quotes:

"I'm tired of pretending I'm not a total bitchin' rock star." (I know your pain, Charlie.)

"There's a new sheriff in town. And he has an army of assassins." (Am I the only one who likes to pronounce "assassins" as "ass-ass-ins"?)

"I have tiger blood and Adonis DNA." (So does my meat man at Whole Foods in Yorkville. Funny enough, his name is Adonis.)

"I'm gonna win inside every moment, and they can just find the most comfortable chair in their small house and sit back and enjoy the show." (That's the spirit, Charlie!)

"You can't process me with a normal brain." (Most emo people feel this way too. As do chicks who like Beiber.)
