Sunday Supper: Miso Shredded Roast.
Usually, I can pinpoint a favorite thing.
Movie? Probably All About Eve.
Color? Pink or Orange?
TV Show? I rewatch Gilmore Girls a lot.
But I don't really know... About any of it.
But I do know one of my favorite foods is a slow-cooked shredded roast.
And I ate a simple bowl of just that, and nothing else with it.
Because I don't like "filler".
Just a sprinkling of white cheddar cheese to offset the sweetness from some of the ingredients...
Mainly the honey.
Mainly the honey.
A few tablespoons of each thing and a cup of the broth mixed together... With the two pound tri-tip soaking in it at 325 degrees for 2.5 hours covered. Then I shredded the roast and cooked it at 425 degrees for another 30 minutes.
I could have made some pasta. Or rice. Or thrown some of it in a tortilla.
But I wanted simple. It was simple to make. And simple to eat.
A darling Sunday Supper.
