Peonies In Bloom.

I hadn't bough peonies in about two years. 

Between the travel of last year, and then the move, I just hadn't come across them. 

That changed this weekend. I walked into Whole Foods to pick up some things for inner on Saturday night, and saw some gorgeous coral ones, all pre-bloom.

Of course I splurged on them. And quite frankly, at only $10 for the bunch, I felt like it was a steal.

Over the next two days, the begin to open beautifully.  And by this afternoon, they are looking like this...

In full bloom.

Peonies in bloom represent prosperity and good fortune.

What a perfectly timed message from nature.
