Staycationing Is My Culture.

"You need to get out. Get a little culture."

This was from a close friend who lives in NorCal. They too are on vacation this week, heading somehwre sunny and warm with their family.

I am already some place warm and sunny.

My own house.

"It's a luxury vacation just having time to rest and get done things on my list," I said.

A list I anticipated would require a full five days off.

I checked three of the things off today. And decided to add more to my list just to keep me busy this week.

  • Detail the car myself.
  • Plant lavender and rosemary.
  • Paint the internal patio wall.
  • Hang the drapes higher in the living room.
  • Color-match a paint chip and touch up spots around the house.
  • New rear tires and a new spare. (This was added to my list yesterday, after waking up to a razor wedged into my back left tire.)
  • Learn how to put a spare tire on. (This one can be checked off now.)
There will be yoga, of course. I have to teach a couple of classes. And some long walks with George. And lots of sleeping in - I hope.

Though not tomorrow... I'll be waking up to deal with the market activity.

Nice way to start a vacation. But between that and the flat tire... This staycation is keeping me quite cultured.
