Not A Gambler.
I tried gambling.
I never understood gambling, prior to trying it. I saw it as just a way to lose money.
"Money doesn't come easy."
That is what I used to tell myself. My belief was that you had to work hard to earn money. And after a while, you get used to working hard. And the money-making gets easier. But it never, ever comes easy.
Never.
But after spending an evening playing the slot machines (I am too intimidated by the Black Jack tables) that I can say with total certainty...
"Gambling is just a way to lose money."
I only spent about $50. And I lost about $30. Not bad. But it just reconfirmed that gambling is not for me.
I like more secure investments. Like long-term real estate. Or mutual funds. Or resources. Or shoes.
These are much more fun to throw money at, for me, than a smoky casino.
