Bedtime Perfume.

The dreamiest of things -  literally - for me lately... Spraying myself and my pillow with a fragrance at bedtime.

This isn't a new idea. People have used lavender in particular to help set the ambiance for sleep.

(I find that scent pedestrian in relation to sleep.)

I prefer vanilla, bergamot, sandalwood, or jasmine notes.

Jo Malone's Cardamom and Mimosa has a sandalwood note... And has been my usual lately. But I sometimes choose Black Opium or Replica's By The Fireside - which both have vanilla notes.

I love rituals, and a short spritz is easy to factor into the evening routine. (Which also includes hormones, acids, and teeth care for both George and I.)

Then I cocoon myself into my duvet and let the notes transport me into repose.
