Falling Drywall In Downtown Crossing.
Holy cow!
My office is above the Borders Bookstore in Downtown Crossing. And so, we have these huge floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the courtyard in front of Borders.
Just a few moments ago, we saw the skies turn dark, the rain come down and the wind start forcing violent movements from everything... Trees, rain, people and even foam-drywall materials from construction on a building near by.
Huge sheets of foamy drywall material, six feet long and two feet wide, came floating and then spiraling down on Washington Street in front of us.
At first we worried that these were wooden boards floating in the sky. Turns out they were just foam though. So no one was hurt. But yikes!
And, where did all of this rain come from suddenly? I had no idea it was supposed to rain today. And I have no umbrella.
