Tian Tan Buddha.

Tomorrow I will be spending with my Boston bud, Frogger. She flies into Hong Kong this evening, and tomorrow we will do a shopping excursion. But today...

It was all about the Buddha.

I took the subway over to Tung Chung station. Then hopped in the queue for the 360 Ngong Ping attraction.

The Tian Tan Buddha is a large bronze statue at Ngong Ping on the Lantau Island here in Hong Kong. It is one of the popular attractions here in Hong Kong. You have to take a nearly six kilometer cable car ride to get to the area on the island where the Ngong Ping village and the statue are.

It's pretty steep... And this was only the first hill we went up.

Navigating the subway was easy. And getting to the cable car queue and over to the island was as well. Definitely worth dedicating an afternoon too.
