Renovation: Closing Up This House.

I was gone all week... Away from my place. And a nice change awaited me as I came back to town...

The canal was filled in with cement!

No more exposed pipes in the floor... It was all been sealed up.

Yay!

This newly built-out space will house a linen closet for the powder room side and built-in cabinets and shelves for a TV on the living room side.

Notice the Cat6 wires in between the two posts in the above picture?  An outlet and connection is being built in to go behind the TV.

SWEET!

The drywall goes back up on the walls tomorrow. And in about four weeks, all of this cement will be covered with hardwood...

The dirt piles are gone now. So it's looking much cleaner and far less scary now.
