Taco Bill.

We have seen a lot of American chains in Melbourne since we arrived a few days ago...
  • Subway
  • Starbucks
  • Hungry Jacks (Which is Burger King.  We don't know why they changed the name though.)
  • Target
  • Kmart
  • McDonald's
  • KFC
  • 7 Eleven
  • Costco
Unfortunately, though, there is no Taco Bell.  But, there is a Taco Bill...

And tonight, we ate dinner there.

The margaritas were excellent.  We had them frozen and fruit-flavored.  The food was a 6/10. You could tell a lot of it was frozen and just reheated.  But things were delicious.

We never found out who "Bill" was.  It would have been nice to meet him.  Bet he wasn't Mexican though.

Taco Bill was co-founded by a good old guy from Wisconsin named Stan Teshski (not sure about that spelling). I had the pleasure of doing a bit of traveling around in Europe with Stan and his buddy Charlie in the early 70s. Like many Wisconsinites, a big party guy back then. I suppose a staid executive these days.
