Top Shop: Top Notch Service.
Oh... I love many things that come from the U.K. The music (Pet Shop Boys, David Gray, James Blunt, The Beatles, Madonna - she's British now, etc). The literature(Harry Potter, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Bridget Jones, Beowulf, British Vogue, etc). The Food (London is the best place to get Indian food). And these are all things we have available to us here in the U.S.
But the one U.K. thing I wish we had access to here... Top Shop.
For those of you who have never read a British fashion magazine or been to the U.K., Top Shop is a fabulous little chain boutique that carries trendy pieces for wicked cheap. Both celebrities and common folk shop at Top Shop; mixing expensive pieces they pick up at high-end boutiques with Top Shop pieces.

But it's not just the pieces at Top Shop that make it so wonderful. The service is amazing. Specifically, the "Style Advisor Service".
Top Shop's "Style Advisor" service is where you book an appointment at a shop and receive consultation from a personal advisor on what pieces look good on your body. You sit in a private fitting room while the consultant runs around the shop and brings you things to try. After you finish trying everything on and decide what to keep, you get to cut any line of people that are waiting to pay. And best of all, the service is completely complimentary. (That means "free.")
Oh how I wish we had Top Shop here in America. Maybe some day there will be. But until then, I can just visit the site online for inspiration.
