New Year's Eve In Melbourne.
Apparently, every restaurant in Melbourne shuts down on New Year's Eve. And if you didn't book a reservation anywhere, you will find yourselves doing what The Husband and I did...
Going to the food court in the Southgate complex downstairs, and getting fish and chips for dinner.
Despite where it came from (a greasy trap of a place), it was quite tasty.
We retired back to our river view room in the hotel, and decided to eat and just hang out here. I mean, it has everything we need for the evening... Wireless, TV, little bottles of champagne, chocolates, crisps, and a GREAT view of the early 9pm fireworks...
They do an early round of fireworks for the families with children. That's a smart idea. Then, at midnight they do the big celebration.
I will have my camera ready again!
