Toronto Bag Fee.

Wow... They are serious about making things more "green" in this city!

Beginning next Monday, June 1st, there will be a 5-cent charge for each bag you take from a store or restaurant.



I will now have to remember to bring my shopping totes with me every time I leave the house.

LOVE IT! Plus now it's a new excuse to stock up on all of reusable shopping totes (what can I say?? Some of them are really quite cute!!)

They actually do that in Italy as well. I learned quickly that when you buy groceries, they say, "Bursa?" and you say si or no. They charge 10 Euro cents, I think. It's a great idea.
