Healthy Dish For The Weak: Sesame Chicken With Wilted Spinach.
Sounds pretty basic... And it kinda is... But it was very good.
Tonight I made a new recipe, which was inspired by various cooking shows I have seen on using sesame seeds.
I never use sesame seeds, but have had a small bottle of them hanging out in my pantry for a few months now. How I came to acquire these sesame seeds, I do not recall. But I decided to finally suck it up and use them tonight.
Ingredients:
Instructions:
You rub a crushed garlic cube over the chicken. Throw in a pan and dash a few drops of soy sauce over each piece of chicken. Sprinkle a handful of sesame seeds. Shove the pan in a 375 degree for about 40 minutes.
Cut up three carrots into quarter inch chunks, and chop up an onion. Saute the carrots in a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once soft (about 10 minutes), throw in the onion. Once translucent-y, toss in a clove of minced garlic. After a minute, throw the spinach leaves in and wilt down. Once wilted down, grate fresh nutmeg over the top and sprinkle some salt on top.
Then you're done! And it's a super healthy dish. If you don't do meat, you can always substitute tofu in for the chicken... And it will probably cook a lot quicker.
