Not to bicker, but gas prices in CA are not really that bad. I know. I live there. It's $3 something a gallon.
Gorda is an anomaly, a little town on Highway 1, the twisty windy road that snakes down the California coast. I've driven through it (blink) several times. Gas prices have ALWAYS been far higher there, just because they are in an isolated area and gas has to be trucked in a long ways. And maybe it's their way of making a bit of $, in a teeny tiny few-buildinged town clinging to a cliff over the Pacific Ocean. Just like when you buy gas at the "last chance" station in the desert!

Tomorrow I need to pay nearly $500 in repairs to my car. I'm considering just getting rid of it once my sister and I move downtown this summer.
