Vegan Food Rally In Downtown Crossing...

There is a vegan food rally going on in Downtown Crossing right now. A speaker is using a microphone to give information on eating vegan... And they are handing out vegan food from a stand.

I wish I had my camera with me today. So far, it's been peaceful... But I'm sure someone is dying to throw a block of cheese or a Big Mac from McDonald's at them.

I don't know where you saw the microphone. There was a radio station across the street playing music and talking over a microphone, but we did not have a PA system. It was a great event, and people were really encouraged by all the delicious vegan food.

Ah! We kept hearing someone talking... And someone in the office (we are above the Border's Bookstore in the offices with the large windows that look down on to that court yard in front of the store) said it was part of the Vegan Food Rally.

Today is "Meatout Day"... like the great American smokeout, but with meat. I'm sure that was the inspiration. I got an invite to attend a few events b/c I am in a vegetarian Facebook group. Fun, fun!
