Time To Start Wearing Heels Again.

I've spent 99.9% of the few years wearing flat shoes...

They include:
  • Haviana Flipflops
  • Ugg Boots (Only in Winter!)
  • L.L. Bean Riding Boots
  • Red Patent Leather Jimmy Choo Flats
  • Chloe White Circle Buckle Flats (Which I wore through in about five months time!)
  • Black Velvet Marc Jacobs Mouse Flats
  • Black Chuck Taylors
Now though, I am taking a cue from Bex - who recently started wearing heels again to work, that it is time to bring back the fierceness!

Allow me to explain... I spent a good two and a half hours yesterday at Umi on Newbury, getting my hair "did." (That means "cut and colored.") In those hours, I devoured my latest nightstand read, "The Mayan Code" and the latest issue of a British fashion magazine. In the fashion magazine, the editor-in-chief wrote about why she loves high heels, and how they help her intimidate others.

Why are they so "intimidating?" Because she wears the highest of the high. She stands 5'7", and in her 4-inch heels, she is brought to "eye-level" or even "towers" over the people (mostly men) that she has to deal with on a daily basis.

And silly me, I've just been so stuck in being comfortable that I have forgotten all about what it means to wear heels. And it means the following:
  • Femininity
  • Strength
  • Style
  • Fun
  • Cutthroat
  • Sexy
I'm gonna start wearing my heels again!

Funny thing is, though... Looking at my "heel" collection leaves a lot to be desired.

Do I really only own this many heels? I appear to have spent the majority of my shopping budget on flats. And that just won't do if I am trying to be fierce.

I must buy more heels. Amazing heels. Killer heels.

Hmm... I now need to rethink my Spring/Summer shopping scheme. I hadn't planned for heels.

i *love*love*love* wearing heels, it dresses up ANY outfit (well, maybe not my VS velour track suit...but you get the gist).

i've decided, though, that since i am going to wear them more often i can only buy heels that are (1) comfortable and (2) not outrageously expensive. boston KILLS your heels, between cobblestones & grates, ugh. thankfully there are a few good shoe cobblers around town too.

YAY for cute heels!
