Tea Declaration.

It's Saturday night. That's "date night" in my household. So for "date night," I made The Husband take me out to a bistro in the neighborhood that we haven't been to in almost three years, Aquitane.

There's no specific reason why we haven't been back. the food is fantastic there. and I think it may be because it's a whole three blocks away from our apartment. And in the Wintry cold that plagues Boston for a good six months each year, I just don't have the desire to walk that far for dinner. But tonight, I made an exception.

So we went to Aquitane and had a lovely meal. And while eating said "lovely meal," I made a declaration...

"I think I will give up coffee completely in the new year, and switch to tea," I said to The Husband.

"Except for the occasional espresso drink," I added.

And I do mean it. I LOVE espresso. And will likely drink it a few times a week. But I just don't want to waste my taste buds and caffeine allowance on coffee any more.

My facialist today mentioned how awfully dry my skin is with this cold outside. She said it's imperative that I switch to non-caffienated beverages, and switch to herbal teas and water. So, I figure, why waste my energy drinking coffee? Caffeine should be a treat, not a necessity.

So in the new year, it will be teas for me (mostly herbal teas) and NOT coffee.

You need this place. http://remedyteas.com/.

It is gorgeous and divine and has the best herbal teas in Seattle. Which is known as a coffee town but is slowly going tea.

Also - Whole Foods sells loose teas in bulk that are SO cheap and beyond delicious. Its pretty much all I drink.
