Fast Food Nationalities.
About halfway through the day, I remarked out loud about how it was "Bastille Day."
"That's right!" said someone else.
"I wish there was a French fast food place we could go to get some lunch to celebrate," I said.
"Well, there's Au Bon Pain," said another person.
"Saying Au Bon Pain is 'French' is like saying McDonald's is 'Irish,'" noted someone else.
"Wendy's could be 'Irish' too," said another person. "The girls has red hair and freckles."
"Or she could be 'Northern Italian,'" said someone else.
We all agreed.
"So does that mean Burger King would be 'British?'" I asked. "You know... Because there's a King... So it's a monarchy."
Everyone looked at me like I was reaching. But hey, someone's gotta ask the tough questions.
