Day 9: No Slip-n-Slide.

I don't know why.. But yesterday and today, the 5:30pm Bikram classes were completely full. Is it because the holiday weekend is coming up and people know that they will be out of town and out of practice?

Possibly.

But I find it odd (and admirable) that on two of the hottest days we've had so far this year, the hot yoga classes have been completely full. Excellent dedication folks! If I wasn't doing a challenge, I might have skipped one of the days myself. But I am a lazy betch sometimes.

Despite the class being full to the brim, it was a very good class for me. The classroom was prepped for the humidity outside, so the humidifiers weren't on as high (if at all) in the room. And because my legs weren't so sweaty that I my hands would slide off them, I was able to get into poses and hold them for a much deeper stretch.

In toe stand, for example, I was able to actually keep my feet up on my hips on each side without holding them up when bending down. And that meant that my outer hips got a really great stretch as I was bending forward. It's nice to be able to progress!

Tomorrow is Day 10. Woohoo!
