The Trainer Leaves.
"You have been the most stable and dependent client I've ever had!" said my trainer to me this morning.
Tear!
Today was my last training session with my trainer at Equinox. She has aspirations beyond being a trainer. She wants to start up a mind, body and spirit type of retreat business in the future... And to help her get there, she wants to do a few more exploration type of things. Things that will totally help round out her expertise in the "mind, body and spirit" area.
A few weeks ago, she broke the exciting news to me...
"I'm going to be leaving Equinox. I've had a really great opportunity come up," she said.
The exciting opportunity is training with a private client to do the seven summits around the world. She is being paid to personally train and climb the summits over the next four years with her client. So who can blame her for wanting to devote her time to this? I think she'd be crazy NOT to jump on the opportunity.
I wished her luck, and she has offered to give me some names of trainers who can step in for her in working out with me. I may have to go back to once a week with training, if the new trainer doesn't have availability that syncs up with mine. But I'll wait and see to hear from them.
But "yay" for my old trainer. She did a great job in getting me motivated to like working out... Especially running. I will actually run for 10 to 15 minutes a few times a week. I could never do that before.
So no more Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6am... For now.
